Under this agreement for  2020 

Cloncurry State School P-12 will receive $186 185*


This funding will be used to

  • Improve the percentage of Year 3 students at or above the NAPLAN minimum standard for reading at or above 90%
  • Improve the percentage of students in each year level achieving a sound or above in English, Maths and Science at or above 80%
  • Improve the proportion of students in the school with an attendance rate greater than 85% to over 50%

 

Our initiatives include

  • Building teacher capability:

o         in the teaching of reading

    • to identify, plan, teach and assess the literacy and numeracy demands of the curriculum
  • Enhancing strategy to provide inclusive focused intervention for students requiring additional support to demonstrate achievement against the NAPLAN minimum standard for reading and level of achievement in English, Mathematics and Science
  • Developing responsive strategy to support student attendance at school

Our school will improve student outcomes by

  • Engaging experienced teachers to build teacher capability through an instructional coaching and co-teaching framework ($150 000)
  • Resourcing teaching and learning programs accordingly ($36 185)
